Frequently Asked Questions
-
Somatic therapy integrates body awareness into traditional talk therapy. In our work, we don’t only explore your thoughts and experiences — we also pay attention to what’s happening in your nervous system in real time. This helps us understand patterns more fully and create change at the root, not just at the surface.
-
Both are one-on-one therapy sessions. The difference is the emphasis.
Insight-Oriented Somatic Therapy focuses on story, patterns, and deeper self-understanding, with body awareness woven into the process.
Somatic Awareness & Regulation Sessions are more structured and experiential, centered on building nervous system capacity and helping your body feel safer in the present moment.
Some clients choose to focus primarily on one format, while others move between both depending on what feels most supportive at a given time. During our consultation, we can talk through what makes the most sense for you.

Individual therapy sessions are offered virtually. Autism assessments are conducted in person.

I offer 30-minute virtual consultations. This is a space for us to talk about what’s bringing you in, what you’re hoping for, and whether my approach feels like a good fit. You’ll have time to ask questions, and there’s no pressure to commit.
-
My work is trauma-informed and paced intentionally. Rather than jumping directly into memory processing, we prioritize nervous system safety and capacity first.
Some clients come specifically to work through trauma history. Others come for chronic stress, relationship patterns, or life transitions. We’ll determine together what feels appropriate for your goals and readiness.
-
Yes. I work with many neurodivergent adults, including those with ADHD and autism. My approach is collaborative and adaptable, and we move at a pace that respects your nervous system and sensory needs.

If you’re looking for a steady, depth-oriented approach that integrates body awareness and meaningful insight — and you’re open to slowing down rather than rushing change — this may be a good fit.
The consultation is a space to explore that together.
