ONLINE THERAPY IN TEXAS
You’ve tried to change your stress, your patterns, your responses — and nothing seems to stick.
You’ve read the books. Listened to the podcasts. Watched the reels. Maybe you’ve even been to therapy before. You understand why you do what you do… and yet you still find yourself caught in the same patterns.
You tell yourself you won’t snap again.
You promise you’ll stay calm next time.
You try to hold it together.
And then you find yourself shutting down, overthinking, lashing out, or burning out anyway.
You often find yourself…
Replaying conversations long after they’ve ended
Lying awake at night unable to shut your mind off
Snapping or withdrawing over something seemingly small
Feeling on edge, even when nothing is technically wrong
Mentally checking out at work or with people you love
Wondering, “Why do I keep doing this?”
You know you “should” be able to handle things better.
You’re exhausted from trying to get it right.
If this sounds like you, you’re not broken — your nervous system has been working hard to protect you.
Hi, I’m Alison,
I’m a somatic therapist guiding people toward deeper self-understanding through the integration of body and story.
I work with thoughtful, often overwhelmed adults who are tired of trying to think their way out of their patterns. In our work together, we slow down. We explore what’s unfolding in your life while also noticing what your body is communicating in real time. Sensations become part of the conversation, helping you understand the patterns shaping your responses and begin shifting them at the root.
This isn’t just about managing stress. It’s about understanding how your nervous system has adapted to protect you — and how those adaptations are connected to your story.
Somatic therapy allows us to work with the system underneath your reactions. When we slow down and notice sensations in the present moment, we create the conditions for deeper insight and sustainable change. Over time, clients often begin to feel steadier in their bodies, more compassionate toward themselves, and more able to respond with intention rather than reflex.
How somatic work can help:
Traditional talk therapy often focuses on understanding your thoughts and behaviors. Somatic therapy goes one step further — we include what’s happening in your body.
Your nervous system holds patterns shaped by past experiences. When we slow down and notice sensations in real time, we gain access to deeper insight and create the conditions for change that actually lasts.
Instead of just managing reactions, we work with the system underneath them.
Sustainable Change Starts in the Body.
Go from…
Constantly bracing for the next stressor
Reacting in ways you don’t fully understand
Feeling disconnected from your body
Living in chronic tension or quiet shutdown
To…
Staying present in hard moments
Understanding your triggers and responding with intention
Feeling steadier in your body
Creating new patterns that actually stick
Somatic work requires safety, steadiness, and space.
Here’s what you can expect from me:
-
I offer a natural, authentic presence that creates ease in conversation and space to be yourself. When your nervous system feels met with warmth rather than judgment, it becomes safer to slow down and notice what’s happening inside.
-
I help you notice patterns beneath the surface and connect the pieces of your story. Somatic therapy isn’t just about managing symptoms — it’s about understanding the roots of your reactions so change can happen at a deeper level.
-
I stay rooted in the full context of your life — your environment, relationships, and nervous system — so our work feels practical and real. Regulation doesn’t happen in isolation; it happens in the context of your actual world.
-
I respect your individuality and hold space for all parts of you with curiosity and care. When all parts of you are allowed to exist in the room, your system doesn’t have to brace or perform — and that’s often where meaningful shifts begin.
